I also tested dried blood meal and predator urine during my coffee grounds experiment. Both worked better than the coffee but still needed regular reapplication. The blood meal kept rabbits away for about two weeks before losing power. Predator urine lasted even shorter in hot weather. You'll find that barriers give you the most reliable long-term results.
Save your coffee grounds for the compost pile where they'll do some good. They add nitrogen to your soil and help your plants grow stronger roots.
